Before Black History Month comes to a close (don't you hate that Black History Month is during the shortest month of the year??), I wanted to highlight Isossy Children on Tristin + Tyler's Threads. Isossy Children has boys and girls clothing line inspired by African and Asian textiles. I love how Isossy Children mixes contemporary and traditional with small little details like buttons, collars and piping on lapels in African-inspired prints. I also love the idea of bringing African textiles to the forefront of fashion for children.
The boys, hubby and I headed out to Harlem Haberdashery, a high-end clothing boutique in Harlem, so I could take photos of T + T in these amazing Isossy Children blazers. Harlem Haberdashery has a sleek Harlem-inspired decor, along with high-end fashion finds for adults and children. From the photos on the wall of African American heroes, to the furniture and props all around, this boutique is the essence of cool Harlem. Remember when we held Tristin and Tyler's Healthy and Cool for School event there?
What do you think about Isossy Children? Do you love the details? What do you think about mixing a little culture with style?
