Well, Fall is on the way and it's time to ease our way into more layers + boots. The boys love rocking boots all year long really, but the Fall is their favorite because they've gotta show off the hottest footwear for the new school year. We rock Dr. Martens every year, but these TMNT versions of the classic are SO HOT!

I styled the boots with small hints of color instead of trying to match the boots + outfits completely. Tyler has a hint of red on to match his Ralp boots, and Tristin rocks a different shade of green to go with his Donnie boots.

Oh! Tyler got a new haircut! What do you think?! He's been dying for a change, so there you have it! He is ecstatic about it!

Happy New School Year!

What to Rock: Puro Sound Labs

Whether they are playing Minecraft, listening to music or watching videos, the boys always have headphones in their ears. When I was little, I remember my mom always said that my eyes would be horrible when I grew up because I sat so close to the television - she was right.  Now as a mom, I wonder what about my boys' ears?  Guess what, a smart dad thought about the same thing and started Puro Sound Labs.  Dave Russell created headphones that won't let kids pump up the volume, in an effort to prevent sound-induced hearing loss. BRAVO.

The boys love the quality, the gorgeous design (yes design, they are into fashion, remember?!) and I love that my kiddos won't suffer hearing loss before they get to high school. I also love that the headphones fit the kids' heads perfectly. Usually they try to wear adult headphones and if they are not falling off, they are super uncomfortable.

How could I not be excited about a healthy-version of a product that my kids use so much these days? Make sure to check out Puro hereLet us know if you get a pair on Instagram or Twitter!

We were provided a pair of headphones to review. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Tyler Featured In: Jersey Mike's Commercial

Tyler had the best time in this commercial for Jersey Mike's. Not only was the production company super fun and so great to the kids that were there, Tyler got to eat a sub sandwich on camera...over and over, and over again! As you probably know, boys love to eat so this was a double treat for him!  This month Jersey Mike's is giving away proceeds from their subs to local charities in their month of giving, so we were so excited that Tyler could take part in spreading the word about such a great organization, and worthy cause.

If you haven't had a Jersey Mike's sandwich, this is the best time to try it for sure! To learn more about Jersey Mike's Month of Giving, click here, and you can watch Tyler's commercial below or click here!  Let us know how you think he did! I think he stuffed his face pretty good! Lol!

Tristin + Tyler's Threads: Rich Boys

I'm super excited about these images I shot of the boys in Rich Boys. Doesn't it look like a music video, or an album cover for two hot music stars? Yep, that was the vibe I was going for and Rich Boys makes it sooo easy because they have these pieces with unique details you can't find anywhere else.

Check out the print on Tristin's shirt, and the details on his jeans with the gold zippers. And when have you ever seen painted jeans like Tyler's? A work of art I tell you! And you don't have to wear the pieces all at once, you take one statement item and one plain item and it really looks hot.

Check out Rich Boys here and let us know if you see anything you like. Oh, and despite the name, they don't only make clothes for boys, by the way.  What do you think about stepping boys style up a bit from the classic jeans and sweats?  Let me know in the comments below.

What's Cool? Arthur Ashe Kids Day 2015!

This summer is going out with a BIG BANG! We got a chance to go behind the scenes ofArthur Ashe Kids Day 2015, an annual event which teaches kids to get active with tennis which honors the memory of Arthur Ashe. Kids get to check out the skills of tennis greats like Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal and enjoy musical performances galore! Tristin + Tyler even got a chance to interview some really cool musical artists like American Authors, Natalie La Rose, Kalin and Myles and Radio Disney's Brooke Taylor!  The boys rocked out to the latest music, but more importantly, they learned about the legacy of Arthur Ashe, the first African American player selected to the United States Davis Cup team and the only African American ever to win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, or the Australian Open. Arthur Ashe's legacy was important in so many ways, whether it was encouraging kids to do what they love, perform against all odds or always think about giving back - that man was inspirational.

What's Up, City Kid?! - FAO SCHWARZ IS CLOSING!

One of the most iconic New York City spots is closing on July 15th! Have you ever been to FAO SCHWARZ toy store? Well it is on Fifth Avenue in NYC and it is the most iconic toy store EVER! I remember going there as a child and being totally enamored by the huge stuffed animals and the loads of toys on every floor. Since it's closing in a month, I had to bring Tristin and Tyler there to do a little shopping and take it all in before it closes. So if you can't make it to NYC, Tristin and Tyler have got you covered -- in this episode of What's Up, City Kid?! go inside FAO Schwarz so you have a piece of the store too before it's gone!
